Its not really that thin. Its about the same size as the standard linkage. I don't know what the standard linkage is made out of, but mine is heat treated aluminum. I haven't experienced that much flex at all

It is for a 241mm eye to eye shock (haven't tested it on other length shocks but it might work). It adds an extra inch of travel. PM me about your other questions
